At this year's bash, Old Man Rhythm takes a back seat as the young lions strut their stuff

It's not your parents' Street Scene anymore.
For the second year in a row, San Diego's largest annual music, food and drink festival is being geared to a young audience that prefers moshing to noshing, and marches – and dances – to a heavy hip-hop, punk-rock and electronica beat.
So goodbye zydeco, Cajun, jazz, blues, gospel, swing and most of the World Music styles (except reggae) that helped make Street Scene one of the most diverse and popular music-driven events on the West Coast.
