The rotating house atop Mount Helix will be open for tours this weekend and next as a fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity and Foothills United Methodist Church in La Mesa. Al and Janet Johnstone built the 5,100-square-foot home, moving in three years ago. For details, see Calendar listing.
Interfaith peace program: First Church of the Brethren of San Diego will host “Different Paths to a Common Goal: Peace,” 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 3850 Westgate Place, featuring Jewish, Christian and Muslim speakers. Rotating home tours: Public and private tours of the rotating home built atop Mount Helix will be offered tomorrow through Sunday and June 9 to 11 as a fund-raiser for Foothills United Methodist Church and Habitat for Humanity. The private tours will include hors d'oeuvres and live music, and the rotating experience. Due to liability reasons, the house will not rotate during the public tours.
