CITY

Singing harpists: The Three Singing Harpists will perform at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Therese of Lisieux, 6016 Camino Rico. An offering will be taken. Information: (760) 473-7254.

Rummage sale: University Christian Church, 3900 Cleveland Ave., will hold a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. tomorrow and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Shabbat at the beach: Congregation Beth El will hold a special Shabbat beach service, 6:15 p.m. tomorrow at Mission Bay, just south of the Visitor Information Center. Bring a dairy picnic, blankets and beach chairs. Information: (858) 452-1734.

Greek festival: St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church will present its 37th annual Greek Festival, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 3655 Park Blvd. The event will feature live Greek music, dancing, food and pastries, church tours and games. Hand bell concert: The Bell Tones, an adult hand-bell choir, and the Energetic Ensemble, a youth hand-bell choir, will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday, San Carlos United Methodist Church, 6654 Cowles Mountain Blvd. The performance will mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of the church's hand-bell choir ministry. Mission celebrations: Mission San Luis Rey will celebrate its 208th birthday with a benefit luncheon Saturday at the Outback Steakhouse, 2485 Vista Way, Oceanside. Seating times will be 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets: adults, $20; children younger than 10, $10. The mission will also host a wine-tasting event in the rose garden, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Summer solstice: The Rosicrucian Fellowship will hold its annual summer solstice festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 17 at a hilltop retreat, 2222 Mission Ave. at Mesa Drive, Oceanside. William Shakespeare will be honored with readings and audience participation from “A Midsummer Night's Dream.” Vegetarian and vegan raw food, music of the period, dance, art with painting of stained-glass window mandalas and various booths will be available.
