Well to start out, I am really thankful for even being able to write this. To choose my topic quickly, I think that I will take hmmm... of course!!! My friends! Well that's really easy, wow, I am really thankful for my friends. They are great. I can't name them all but I will tell you a few. Well to start there is Chelsea Morgan, Raelyn Fernandez, Lauren Gutierrez, and Tenessa Avey. Like I said before, I can't name all of them. I love all my friends and hopefully they all like me. They are all very nice and funny. My friends and I crack up over the dumbest things. We play cards and games like Uno and Life and Monopoly and we have a lot of fun.
Well I love my friends a lot ... oh yeah, I almost forgot I love lip gloss, too. I am so thankful for lip gloss and whoever invented it has to be a pure genius. I have a lot and I think a little too much but I use it a lot so that doesn't matter so much! My friends use it sometimes, too, but no one can beat me by any means of having enough lip gloss!
Well I am still very thankful for being able to write this to you so thanks and goodbye.

Like many other people I am thankful for a lot. I am thankful for food, homes, transportation, and school. I am thankful for family and friends more then anything else in the world.
I have had a friend since I was one year old, beside my mom, and I'm almost twelve. We are the same age and our moms met before I was even born. Her name is Jordan Bennett. We always write stories and talk about books we have read since we seen each other. We watch movies together and love Harry Potter books. My friends at school Reylen Ferdnaze and Mikala Carpenter are really good friends too. We laugh over the dumbest things. We get the whole class laughing sometimes. We also like Harry Potter. If something is bothering me, my friends aren't around I always count on family. After family I always ask my friends.
I have a huge family! My mom is the best mom ever, in my view. She cooks, takes care of my brother and me, she does not have a job so she is always there, she is our home school teacher, and she makes our Halloween costumes and pajamas. She also helps in our school too. She is always there to help me and to cheer me up, no matter where she is. All my family has cheered me on at basketball games, volleyball games and horseback riding even if something goes wrong or I lose they are always there for me.
That is why friends and family are most important in my life. Even if family is there for you, your good friends can also be by your side. That is what I am thankful for.

My name is Torrey Joyner, I'm 11 years old and I attend The Classical Academy of Oceanside. Today I'd like to talk to you about one of the many things I'm thankful for. I'm thankful that God put people on this Earth that are mentally & physically challenged. People like that make people who don't have problems realize how hard it is to live being humiliated everyday. They struggle to fit in & be like everybody else.
This makes people look ahead & think that they could become that way too. They wouldn't want people making fun of them and teasing them. Therefore they shouldn't tease and make fun of people like that, because there's a reason for everything & what goes around comes around, so don't put down other people.
I'm thankful for many other things but I hope you were enlightened by what I have talked to you about right now! Well that's all for now and even if my letter doesn't get in the newspaper, I hope you learned something from it. Bye!

My name is Trenton, I'm thankful to live in America because I have the freedom to say anything I want. I'm particularly thankful to live in a country which worships in any religion we want and not be thrown in jail for our beliefs.
Sometimes I take these freedoms for granted, but I especially am appreciative that our forefathers wrote the Constitution. How fortunate we are as Americans for the military and for the police who protect our freedoms from terrorists. I'm also grateful that we are not restricted to write any thing we want. Lastly, I'm thankful God gave me a family who loves me, and for my friends who keep me from being lonely.

I am thankful for Freedom, Liberty, and Justice. I started with freedom because without freedom people would probably be other people's or other Country's slaves. I probably wouldn't be here today if there wasn't any freedom in the world when I was born.
I am also thankful for liberty because with liberty, the law breakers are caught and punished for their stupid actions. That is why I chose liberty as one of the things that I am thankful for.
And last I am very thankful for justice because there are a lot of bad people in the world and justice gives the cops or (the police) the right to protect us from their bad and immature actions they take out on the world.
All of these things come together and make the world a better place. The world should always have freedom, liberty, justice for everyone in the world.

I am thankful that I have my house. If I didn't I would have nowhere to live. I would always have splinters and thorns in my feet. I'm also very lucky that I have a family, without my family I would not have cars and my house, I would not have anything I own. I would never have anyone to talk to I would be very lonely.
But the very best thing I'm thankful for is Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for you and me. He created everyone and everything. He is the reason for every season. And he is my God. He means so much to me. If it wasn't for him we all wouldn't be hear fight now. He's the one who gave me my mom and dad my aunt and my uncle my grandma and my grandpa, and he gave me my dog Q. He gave me so many things I can't fit them on 100 pages that are 50 feet wide and 100 feet tall. I love him so much he's my God he is the one and only true savor I can't believe he gave me so many things. I'm thankful for my house it keeps me warm and safe. All the rooms have memories and this is why I don't know what I would do without it. When I go to bed at night my house keeps me safe from bad stuff.
My house can compare to God, even though God doesn't just stay in one place. He does protect us and give us shelter. My house is a blessing! Really, what would you do with out it? Think about the people who don't have houses and just have boxes to live in. I'll bet they'd be more thankful for a house than we'll ever be. So sometimes we have to stop what were doing and look around us and just be thankful.

I'm really thankful to the firefighters who did a wonderful job on saving the houses that they could. What is important is that nobody got hurt in the fire besides a couple of people but most of them were saved. I'm also thankful that I have friends that listen and care for me when I'm sad or happy. Hi! I am very thankful to be living in a very nice apartment in America's most beautiful city and having survived for 66 years!
I have made lots of good friends on my journey through life and have at least six I would call "best friends." Some time ago I heard that if a person could call two of their friends "best friends," they should consider themselves lucky, and I have six!
I also have great doctors who are keeping me alive with all my various medications. I am so thankful to all of them and their staff. I am also thankful to God.

I am also blessed with my "adopted" family. In 1991, I decided to "adopt" Spiritual and Patriotic daughters and sons. Since I never married, this decision helped to fill a void in my life.
So many blessings, and I'm blessed and proud to be an American!

I'm thankful for my house not getting touched by the fire in Scripps Ranch. I was scared for my mom because she stayed to make sure the house didn't get burnt. Our friends told her to evacuate, but she stayed. She packed all the important stuff.
When Mom went to get an air filter a nice lady gave her a mask. The fire raged on for three days and the air was smoky. We stayed home from school for a week. While Mom was at the house, I stayed with Dad.

I am thankful for a lot of things in my life. One of the things that I am thankful for is my family and their homes. After the recent fire that suddenly happened I realized how much they mean to me. My aunt and cousins were evacuated and they came to my house. I was scared for their homes and pets. We heard from a friend who was fighting the fire that the fire was across the street from my aunt's house and we all almost started to cry. Luckily, the incredible firefighters came to the rescue and saved her house!!!
That's another thing I am thankful for, our nation's firefighters and any military force; without them our world would crumble. After everyone was safe and in their own beds I learned how much I have and that I shouldn't take advantage of any of it.
My school raised money for all the families that did lose their homes and I felt wonderful about being a part of it. So after everything was over I learned to appreciate all that God has given me and love everyone around me. So to wrap it all up I think that what I appreciate the most is everything .... And when I say "everything" I mean everything that God has given me. The flowers, my family, houses and shelter, and basically the universe!!!

During Thanksgiving time we feel that it is necessary for us to be thankful for the privileges we every so often take for granted. These are some of the things I take for granted... One of the most important factors of my life is my education. I am thankful for my education and the people that contribute towards my education such as my teachers, my friends, and my family. Another ability that I so often take for granted is my ability to love. My belief is that the reason we give gifts during the Holiday season is to show our love and appreciation. Also throughout the Holiday season family comes over to have dinner or just to "chat." This is yet another way to show your love and appreciation. In conclusion, I would encourage you to make new friends but keep the old. Also, you should also remember that although you may not live on, your love will be passed down for generations to come.

Many things come to mind when someone says the word "thankful." But one word seems to stand out more than the others: "Freedom." Our country gives people more say in government, and more chances that any other country. I don't know what life would be like without these and many other freedoms. I can speak my mind, say what is wrong with the government, and if I disagree with something I can change it. Being able to do this has a major effect on my life and the world. Many people take their freedoms for granted; I won't.

There is much to be thankful for especially around these times of fire, war and poverty around the world. First of all, I am truly thankful for how lucky I am to be safe from the horrific fire. I almost feel guilty for having a shelter while many others do not. One of the biggest events that the United States and I feel deeply thankful for is how the war hasn't physically affected us. We are affected mentally on how it has hurt others. What I am mostly thankful for is my knowledge that people care for me, and I share a part of one happy family. For example, most of us look at a plate of food and might say, "I don't like that, I want something else," whereas others who are less fortunate would be extremely grateful to get even a small portion of food. And think about all of those people who feel unloved and are mistreated, and hopefully you will be grateful for your friends and family who care and love you.

What I am thankful for. To me I am not thankful for possessions or new clothes, the newest shoes or hairstyles. I am most thankful for my family. My family will never go out of style like most of the new fads. My family will love me and care for me forever. I am thankful for my education, my wonderful teachers, and my health. I sometimes see people on the news that have had damage done upon their homes and families and even themselves and I am always grateful for what I have whether it be family, friends, or my health and I will never stop praising God for what he has given me.

This Thanksgiving I am most thankful for my family and friends. My family and friends bring out the best in me and encourage me to be myself. They've shown me that there is nothing that I could do that would let them stop loving me. I am also thankful for my church. My church has made me feel welcome and has also helped me to be a better and happier person. Going to church is now fun for me and I have become to feel closer to God. I am also thankful for the firefighters, who are courageous and who I think are the heroes of San Diego.
