What am I thankful for? This is a question I often ask myself. Truth is, I have numerous things to be thankful for. Just sittting here having the ability to write is quite a blessing. One of the things I am thankful for is my condition. I can see, hear, smell, touch, walk and think. Some people have medical conditions where they are not able to do that!
Another thing that I am extremely thankful for is the roof over my head. I am able to live in a sheltered place while most people live on the streets. I am able to just sit down and read or watch television.
Teachers. Education. Most kids around the world don't have an education. They don't have people who are willing to teach. I am thankful for a nice teacher who can take time out of her life to teach me and thirty one others.
And even though we don't often think of it as something to give thanks for, we should be thankful for our country. To be able to have freedom is probably most important. We can do what we want! We don't have rulers treating us like dirt.
Last, but not least, the people who were fighting in Iraq this past year. Without them, who knows where our country would be today.
So, since it's Thanksgiving, I think you, like me, should just sit down and count what you are thankful for!

I am thankful for a lot of things. The most thankful thing is that if God didn't exist we wouldn't have this world right now. We wouldn't have fun, toys, bikes, scooters, clothes, ice cream or stuff that is cold, warm, cool. And, we wouldn't know how to read or learn.
And if he didn't exist we wouldn't have homes, food and other healthy things. We would be living in the dry sand with nothing to do. That's why I'm glad that he exists and that he loves us and we love him back a lot.

I am thankful for the freedom that we have in this country. I am thankful for the policemen, firemen and people who work for the Red Cross. They all risk their lives to save ours. I'm thankful that I have a family and most of us do. I'm also thankful that we have a newspaper that we can read. I'm thankful that I can write, spell, count and go to school. I am thankful for my mother. Because she always worries about me. I will tell you what happened. One day, my mom went shopping. But, I didn't want to go shopping so I played with my brother and my friends. About one hour later, my mom came home. I saw my mom holding a beautiful pair of pants. So I asked her, "Why did you buy this?" Then, she said, "Because of you! I always worry about you!" I was very happy. And then I knew that my mom always worries about me!

I am thankful for a loving family. They pack my lunch and they always take me to basketball and softball practices and games. I think that is very nice of them. They also take time off of work when I am sick or I need something.
I am also thankful for my great pets. I have a dog and a cat. I just recently put a dog to sleep a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Sasha. She was a really great dog. My other dog's name is Peanut. She is also a great dog. My cat's name is Beans. She is very smart. We let her go outside and when she wants to go back in she knocks on the door. I am thankful for animals.
I am also thankful for a free country and that the terrorists haven't attacked us yet. I am also thankful that I have a nice home. Some people don't even have homes. I actually have two homes because my parents are divorced.
I am also thankful that I have good friends. Whenever, I am hurt or forget my lunch, they always share or try to make me feel better. I am thankful for everything.

I am thankful for the food that we eat because some people don't have food or some people have to eat rotten food. I am thankful for the toys my mom and dad buy me because soem kids out in the world don't have toys or have to find some broken toys in the trash. That's really sad not having toys to play with.
I am thankful for having a family because some kids are born and their families take care of them and then they leave them one day and never come back. I am also thankful fo my house and friends because a lot of people dont' have houses to live in and a lot of people don't have friends because people think that their kids shouldn't be friends with homeless people. That's why I am thankful for all of these things.

I am thankful for many things. The trees, the sun and the water. We can't live without them. All animals of the earth, sky, lakes, rivers and seas. If just one of the many things in this world disappeared, every thing goes haywire. For example, if bats disappeared, it would be mosquito city. If trees disappeared, no plant, animal or person would have fresh air. I'm thankful for light, the stars and the moon. I'm thankful for the rain, the snow and the clouds. I'm thankful I have food in my stomach, a bed to rest in and a family.
I'm thankful for my dog and all the pets I've ever had, all now in heaven. This is just a small fraction of the things I'm thankful for. This would go on for millions of pages if I put everything in, but this should give you an idea.

I am thankful for having back braces. If there was no such thing as back braces then by the time I was eighteen, I'd probably be crippled!
With my brace, I can still do gymnastics (even though I don't wear it then). It's really not that bad after a while. I wear it to school under my clothes. I can still play games, go rollerblading, bike riding and even sleep in it.
Nobody makes fun of me for having it. When somebody finds out, they're very sympathetic. It's just like a new toy that's really, really great. But, after awhile you don't notice it anymore!

I am thankful for my five grown children -- three live in San Diego, the other two back east. They are all very caring, helpful and loving.
My #2 daughter has reversed roles with me and is now my "sort of" mother. She has bought me a home in Rancho Bernardo -- everything on one floor so I don't have to climb stairs or lug groceries up a flight of stairs anymore. My only income now is Social Security and my daughter is helping me financially. I have arthritis, a bad back and bursitis in my hip.
The only way I know to truly thank her is by continuing to love her and by sending this letter to her through you.
I am so very thankful to my landlord who has been very generous and kind for 22 years of renting - way below the going rate. And so fortunate to be able to live in San Diego and the beautiful, free country of the United States.

It may have been pure evil that was responsible for my circumstances, but nothing short of a miracle the way Dr. Steven R. Garfin, Professor and Chair, Department of Orthopedics, UCSD Medical Center, performed major back surgery on me over fivr years ago.
Due to his dedication and that of his staff, most notably Liz Simpson, my surgery was a success. I not only recovered, I have only a slight limp that is hardly noticeable. The progress I have made is a tribute to his skill and expertise.

Thanksgiving is a time for thanks. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my freedom as an American. Being free means a lot to me. I am able to do some things that people in other countries are unable to do like practice my religion and vote for Governor.
Our Nation is trying to give other countries the same thing so that they will be able to be free also. When the Marines fought for our freedom it gave us great patriotism. I am thankful for many things. Something that I look forward to every year is Summer Vacation. I'm thankful for this because I finally have just myself to look after, no reports, homework, Nothing. Over the summer I do wake up early every Saturday though, but only to go to the beach with my cousins, Aunt, Uncle, Mom, Dad, and my sister Victoria. Then for about two weeks my grandma, grandpa, cousin, Victoria, and I go up to Washington. There are many things that I do with my family, that's why I love them so much.
That is another thing that I'm thankful for, my family. A lot of the time I need some company while doing homework. That is where my cat, Punkin, comes in. She walks in, leaps onto the table, and lays beside, or sometimes on, my homework. My Mom folds laundry and watches me ready to help me when I need help. My Dad helps me with math, which is not very often. But he is still great company. Most of all, Victoria is the one who makes me very happy. She says the funniest things sometimes. When all of my homework is finished and I am ready to go to bed, Victoria's cat, Crystal, either sleeps with Victoria or me. Most of the time they put a smile on my face.
Without my family, some things that I do now may not have ever started. Because of Victoria's love of horses, my Mom got us into horseback riding lessons, and I'm thankful for that. The thing that I look forward to is riding my favorite horse and seeing my friend, Erin, there. I practice really hard for the shows and to please my favorite trainer.
Again thanks to Victoria I love books. Before she started learning to read, I only liked to listen to stories, not reading them for myself. But now every night before I go to bed I try to read. I'm thankful for books because if I want to get away from everything I can pick up a book and read. Also I read when I have nothing to do. I'm grateful for the activities that my sister has gotten me into.
I am grateful for all of the things I have mentioned and many more. But I can't put everything that I am thankful for into a simple essay.

I am thankful for many things. One of them is the environment. You can't live without it. The trees which reach up to the sky and are so beautiful with their vibrant colors of the leaves give off oxygen for us to breathe. Trees also bear fruit. I love the shining and glistening red apples that taste so scrumptious when you take a bite of the juicy insides. It is also fun to jump in the leaves when fall comes.
I'm also thankful for the bushes. They also have vibrant greens like trees. They bear fruits and vegetables for us to pick and eat. I love the strawberries the best because they are so sweet and juicy.
I also like canyons. They are fun to walk in especially when there are trees covering the place with gives off a beautiful scenery. Now you know why I am thankful for canyons, bushes, and trees, which are all part of the environment.

This is a paragraph about what I'm thankful for. I am thankful for my mom, my house, my car, my pets, my school, my family, my friends and people who care for me. All my possessions are very important to me. My family and my pets are the most important things to me. Without them I couldn't live.
My possessions are also important. They won't help me when I die, but they will help me while I'm here. I am thankful for my mom because she helps me learn and grow. I am thankful for my house because it keeps me warm and safe. I am thankful for my car because it takes me places safely. I am thankful for my pets because they are always there for me and they give me responsibility.
I am thankful for my school because I learn a lot of things there and I meet new people. I am thankful for my family because they love me and they always support me. I am thankful for my friends because my friends will be with me forever. I am thankful for everything, even though I sometimes take advantage of it, and don't always appreciate it.

I'm thankful for my family because if I didn't have a family I wouldn't be here right now. I'm thankful for my Mom and Dad that pay for my school tuition and the house that I live in. I'm thankful for my brothers and sister that make my life happy and fun. And I'm especially thankful for my whole family who is here with me right now, and loves and cares for me right this minute.

First of all, I am thankful for my family. I'm thankful for them because they are always supportive in everything that I do. My parents take me to practices and watch my progress in dance and basketball.
I'm also very thankful for my life. I think I am a very smart person, I'm a good team player at sports, and I'm a very good friend and person. I am very thankful for these things and many others, this is what I am thankful for.
