UNION-TRIBUNE BREAKING NEWS TEAM

6:55 a.m. May 10, 2007

SAN DIEGO – A 60-year-old man had his car stolen in Valencia Park early Thursday morning by a man who walked up to him and acted like he had a gun, police said.

The victim was sitting in his 1992 Lexus on Duluth Avenue near 58th Street just before 1:15 a.m. talking with a friend when the carjacker came to the driver's door, San Diego police said.

He ordered the men out of the car and then got in and drove off, police said.

He was described as black, in his 40s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin and wearing dark clothing.

No one was injured.
