LA JOLLA ... A raucous party on Black's Beach with several hundred guests ended early this morning with a violent brawl that left one man with a stab wound, authorities said.

The victim was walking down the northern La Jolla beach with friends about 2:30 a.m. when a group of men attacked them, punching and kicking them, San Diego police said.

One suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the victims in the side. He was taken to a hospital with a non-life threatening wound.

A handful of partygoers were also detained for illegal camping on the beach, having glass bottles on the beach, and for interfering with lifeguards' duties, said a San Diego lifeguard dispatcher.

It was unknown who organized the party.
