SAN DIEGO – Investigators at Camp Pendleton are continuing their probe into a bomb threat Wednesday that prompted evacuations on the base lasting about three hours.
The threat was directed at the Smile Care building behind the base theater about 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a base spokesman said. All buildings in the immediate area were evacuated and a portion of Vandergrift Boulevard was closed.
A search by explosive ordnance disposal teams and bomb-sniffing dogs found nothing.
