KENT PORTER / Associated Press State prison inmate firefighters widened a firebreak yesterday near Santa Rosa, where a 35-acre wildfire threatened homes. In Southern California, firefighters' containment lines held a 340-acre wildfire on towering Mount Baldy despite gusty winds and hotter, drier weather, officials said.
