OAKLAND – The three crewmen aboard a tugboat that struck a Martinez wharf last week have been fired for drinking alcohol the night of the incident.
A spokesman for AmNav Marine Services said the company fired the three unidentified crew members after a preliminary investigation showed they'd each had alcohol at a dinner the night of the incident. The tugboat struck a refinery wharf, spilling trace amounts of gasoline into the bay.
