SAN MARCOS
–
Five students at Twin Oaks Elementary School in San Marcos have been diagnosed with chickenpox, county health officials said yesterday. None required hospitalization.
School officials are informing staff and students who might have been exposed to the virus, said Leslie Ridgeway, a spokeswoman for the county Health and Human Services Agency.
The five students all received one dose of the chickenpox vaccine. Two doses are recommended, Ridgeway said.
