The rockers from Escatawpa, Miss., offer some new twists on their distinctive blast of dynamic fury. Lead singer-songwriter Brad Arnold and his bandmates leave the labeling for others, opting instead to mix muscular anthems and plenty of hooks with occasional acoustic touches and power ballads.
Already the disc has a passionate hit single in the driving “It's Not My Time,” while other songs including the simmering “Citizen/Soldier” and the multi-textured standout “Runaway,” showcase the band at its best.
