Real shield needed

Proposed robocall limits don't go far enough

Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., is to be commended for her efforts to impose modest limits on those annoying automated campaign phone calls. We only wish she had stuck with a proposal earlier this year that would have made robocalls, as they are known, subject to the National Do Not Call Registry.

    Justices reject MLB's illogic, shameless greed

    Yesterday, without comment, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Major League Baseball's appeal of two lower-court rulings that held players' names and statistics are in the public domain and thus can be used freely by Web sites catering to the millions of Americans in “fantasy” sports leagues.
