DALY CITY – It was like a scene you've seen in just about every melodramatic golf movie. Except it never happens in real life. After a booming drive, Jason Gore strode off the 18th-hole tee box yesterday afternoon at Lake Merced Golf Club with a gallery of close to 100 people in tow.

Adrian Gonzalez is going great. The Padres are not. And that is eating at the first baseman. Gonzalez hit his 17th homer of the season last night and took over the National League RBI lead.
