The San Diego Air & Space Museum is boldly going where it hasn't gone before: hosting a Hollywood-style “Star Trek” exhibit mounted by a for-profit company.
Usually, the Balboa Park museum is more History Channel than SciFi Channel.

Mayor Jerry Sanders is running into some trouble on the last city contract where you might expect it – a consultant on city contracts.
Sanders wants the San Diego City Council on Monday to approve $1.1 million for a consultant he hired to oversee managed competition, a program he has touted as a way to cut costs by contracting out some city services.

The list of plaintiffs suing San Diego Gas & Electric over the role power lines played in the October firestorm grew by one more yesterday. San Diego City Attorney Michael Aguirre filed a lawsuit on behalf of the city seeking compensation for damage to city property, the cost of suppressing the Witch Creek fire and potential claims from firefighters or other city employees.
