'How soon they forget'

Hoffman booed after giving up back-to-back homers in 9th inning

STAFF WRITER

Boos rained down on a Padres icon last night at Petco Park. Not just scattered boos, but loud booing directed at a franchise hero whose excellence helped bring San Diego's downtown ballpark into existence. ASSOCIATED PRESS

OMAHA, Neb. – Fresno State has reached the brink of pulling off what once was unimaginable for a team in its situation: winning a national championship. One of the most amazing postseason runs in college baseball history continued last night thanks to an offensive performance that was nothing short of, well, amazing.
