ALBUM REVIEW
Patti Rothberg | “Double Standards”

July 3, 2008

Patti Rothberg is tough, but not overbearing about it. She also doesn't come across as too defensive or as a sex kitten making a show of her claws.

“Double Standards”

Double on Tundra

½

She's simply no-nonsense and clever, which plays out in a number of themes ranging from the piano-based analysis of running life like a business (“Inventory”) to “Eye to Eye's” dismissive missive You and I don't see eye to eye ... la la la, to the wholly frivolous ode to a car, “PT Cruiser,” which declares it a little bit of Beetle, a little bit of Rolls Royce.
